The St. Louis Battlehawks earned their first victory in franchise history as they defeated the Dallas Renegades 15-9 in their inaugural game. Dallas is coached by former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops.
Since St. Louis has a ‘Bud Light’ lounge for their locker room, they had a very interesting celebration for their first win. If you can’t guess what beverage was consumed, then they can’t help you.

Ah, the joys of shotgunning a beer, or seltzer beer, if you would.
Battlehawks quarterback Jordan Ta’amu played really well in his first game in the XFL. He finished the game completing 20 of 27 passes for 209 yards, one touchdown and ran for 77 yards.
The former Ole Miss product had one of the better player performances of week one out of the eight franchises.
In week two, St. Lous travels to play the Houston Roughnecks next Sunday at 6 PM EST. The game can be viewed on Fox Sports 1.
Other matchups of week two include the New York Guardians at the DC Defenders on Saturday at 2 PM EST on ABC, the Tampa Bay Vipers at the Seattle Dragons at 5 PM EST on FOX and the Dallas Renegades at the Los Angeles Wildcats at 3 PM EST on Sunday.
This 2020 XFL marks the start of what is the second incarnation of the league. The XFL was originally founded in 1999, but only held one season in 2001 before the league ceased operations. The current league features eight teams, with the season lasting through April 26 when the XFL Championship Game is held.
