St. Louis BattleHawks Friday FUNNights Driven by Lou Fusz Automotive Network will be an event series starting this fall that will serve as the centerpiece of the BattleHawks’ community-centric fan engagement campaign. Team executives will attend more than 50 high school football games across the St. Louis metro area, celebrating the region’s rich football history while connecting with potential BattleHawks’ fans in Missouri and Illinois.

The XFL St. Louis BattleHawks and the Lou Fusz Automotive Network, Inc. announced today a new partnership that authentically connects St. Louis’ storied football fans with an iconic, community-driven and locally-owned organization that has served, celebrated and positively impacted the St. Louis area for generations. Lou Fusz Automotive Network becomes the fifth founding partner of St. Louis’ first born-and-raised modern pro football team.

“As we usher in a new era of pro football in the Gateway City, the BattleHawks are excited to partner with a name synonymous with St. Louis,” said Kurt Hunzeker, president of the St. Louis BattleHawks. “The Fusz family and their impressive portfolio of dealerships across the metro area represents what we hope to achieve with the BattleHawks: a service-oriented brand the community is proud to call its own. The fact that Lou Fusz has invested heavily in the development of youth sports throughout St. Louis for generations truly makes this a smart partnership.”

“Partnering with the BattleHawks will further strengthen our commitment to youth sports in St. Louis,” said Randy Fusz, president and CEO of the Lou Fusz Automotive Network. “My family has been supporting youth athletics since 1992 when my father, Lou Fusz Jr., and Don Popovic started the Lou Fusz Soccer Club. Over the past 28 years we have continued to expand our initiative to include youth football and lacrosse and we are now proud to have an alliance with a local professional sports team and help the BattleHawks bring back professional football to our community. We’re excited to partner with an organization that will provide role models to our young athletes for endeavors on and off the field.”
